senior researcher in the Mental Health Research Group (B17/20R), a consolidated group of the Aragón Health Research Institute, where she coordinates the strategic line “New technologies in Mental Health”. Dr. López del Hoyo was also part of the Aragonese Network of Health Promotion Projects (RAPPS) of SALUD; Research Network on Chronicity, Primary Care and Health Promotion (RICAPPS). RD21/0016/0023, to the Research Network on Preventive Activities and Health Promotion in Primary Care (REDIAPP, RETICS RD16/0007); and has belonged to the Network of Excellence PSI2014-56303-REDT: PROMOSAM: Research in Processes, Mechanisms and Psychological Treatments for Health Promotion. The candidate is also part of the Campus Iberus Innovation in Health Action Group: Conceptualization, prevention and promotion of health from Primary Care. She directed the Research Group of the Official Association of Psychologists of Aragon.
The main lines of work are focused on the application of new technologies to health (m-health interventions, e-health, predictive algorithms, social networks) mainly on major depressive disorder and stress; and the development of mindfulness-based interventions, some of which have also been delivered via online.
Dr. López del Hoyo has received research awards, including predoctoral research, Society for Psychotherapy Research), Extraordinary Doctorate Award; New Technologies and Mental Health (DKV Health and eHealth Hackathon, 2017); Society for Research on Internet Interventions, Best Intervention to Increase Acceptance and Adherence to Internet Therapy, 2017); Psychology Award "Lafourcade" for psychological well-being; and the best oral presentation award of the European Society for Prevention Research, for "Emotional analysis and suicide prevention: detecting suicide risk in Twitter in Spain". She has three prizes for teaching innovation University of Zaragoza and NTICS Chair (“The teaching of medicine and the theater of the hand”, “Psico-vet pills” and “Twitter for learning”).
Dr. López del Hoyo is especially concerned about the transfer of research results in society and innovation as life functioning. She has received specialized training in innovation. She has participated in the development of several online psychological interventions. Dr. López del Hoyo has also participated in the creation and development of the apps. She has collaborated in the development of Clinicovery, a medical data collection platform and app, and in the creation of the mental health promotion training program through immersive reality. Moreover, she has been involved in the AI predictive algorithm: Detection of suicide risk and emotional states through social networks.
