Sara González Yubero holds a PhD in Equity and Educational Innovation from the University of Cantabria, with an International Mention, and is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Zaragoza in the area of Didactics and Educational Organization. Her research focuses on socio-emotional development, well-being, and learning in educational contexts. She has published in high-impact scientific journals and coordinated collective works aimed at enhancing educational and social engagement. She is currently a member of the Education and Psychological Processes Research Group (EducaViva) at the University of Zaragoza.

She has undertaken international research stays at Universidad Andrés Bello in Chile (2022), where she completed a postdoctoral stay, and the National School Climate Center in New York (2016), where she carried out a predoctoral stay. She has also undertaken further training at the University of Lapland (Finland) and the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Brno (Czech Republic), specializing in Mindfulness, Stress Management, and bilingual teaching practices (CLIL).

She holds a recognized six-year research period (CNEAI and ACPUA) and has extensive experience in leading international research projects. She is Principal Investigator (PI) and Central Coordinator of the International Consortium of The ReBeauty project: Enhancing Critical Thinking and Digital Awareness in the Era of Cosmetic Influencers (€250,000). She is also PI of The Cyber Escape Project: Navigating Digital Challenges through Ethical and Sustainable Practices in School Education (€250,000) and GRIT – Growth Mind-set through Resilient Intelligent Technologies (€400,000). She has also participated in projects such as Tenacity – Community Engagement for a Knowledge-Based Society (€320,460), Forget Me Not 2.0 (€206,077), Estudio del clima escolar en los centros educativos de Cantabria (€15,246), and Integración Didáctica y Fortalecimiento Institucional del Programa Camina & Aprende (€14,520).

Her academic career is complemented by experience in university management and institutional leadership. Since 2025, she has served as Department Secretary and Deputy Head of the Department of Educational Sciences, as well as a member of the Faculty Board and Standing Committee of the Faculty of Education in Zaragoza. She is Director of a micro-credential developed in collaboration with the Government of Aragon. She has also participated in scientific events, including as Secretary of the Scientific Committee of the 6th International Congress on Emotional Intelligence and Well-being.
For the past four years, she has led the consolidated Teaching Innovation Project “Interdisciplinary cooperation in teacher education: strategies for educational inclusion through the Early Childhood Intervention course.” She is PI of the multidisciplinary innovation group “Edu_Lab” and coordinates undergraduate and master’s courses and teaching placements. She also serves as a tutor in the University Guidance Plan at the University of Zaragoza. Her career combines research, teaching, university management, and knowledge transfer, with a clear commitment to improving educational well-being and quality.
