Sara González Yubero holds a PhD in Equity and Educational Innovation from the University of Cantabria, with an international distinction, and is currently a Permanent Lecturer at the University of Zaragoza in the area of Didactics and School Organization. Her research focuses on socio-emotional development, well-being, and learning in educational contexts. In these fields, she has published articles in high-impact scientific journals and coordinated collective volumes aimed at improving educational and social engagement. She has been a member of the Research Group on Socio-emotional Development, Well-being and Education at the University of Cantabria and is currently part of the Education and Psychological Processes (EducaViva) research group at the University of Zaragoza.

She has completed international research stays at prestigious institutions such as Universidad Andrés Bello in Chile (2022), where she carried out a postdoctoral stay, and the National School Climate Center in New York (2016), where she completed her predoctoral stay. In addition, she has expanded her training at the University of Lapland (Finland) and the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Brno (Czech Republic), specializing in Mindfulness, Stress Management, and high-quality bilingual teaching practices (CLIL Practices).

She has been awarded one recognized six-year research period (sexenio) by CNEAI and ACPUA and has led and participated in numerous national and international projects. She is the principal investigator of the European project The Cyber Escape Project: Navigating Digital Challenges through Ethical and Sustainable Practices in School Education (€250,000) and co–principal investigator of the project GRIT – Growth Mind-set through Resilient Intelligent Technologies (€400,000). She has also contributed to other funded projects such as Tenacity – Community Engagement for a Knowledge-Based Society (€320,460), Forget Me Not 2.0 (€206,077), Study of School Climate in Educational Centres in Cantabria (€15,246), and Didactic Integration and Institutional Strengthening of the Camina & Aprende Programme (€14,520).

Her academic and scientific work is complemented by a solid background in university management and institutional leadership. Since 2025, she has served as Secretary Professor of the Department of Education Sciences and as a member of the Faculty Board and the Standing Committee of the Faculty of Education at the University of Zaragoza. She is the director of two micro-credentials and has also participated in the organization of scientific events, serving as Secretary of the Scientific Committee of the 6th International Congress on Emotional Intelligence and Well-being, as well as being a member of other scientific committees.

For the past four years, she has coordinated the consolidated Teaching Innovation Project Interdisciplinary Cooperation in Teacher Education: Strategies for Educational Inclusion from the Subject of Early Childhood Intervention. She is the coordinator of the multidisciplinary innovation group Edu_Lab and also coordinates master’s, undergraduate, and practicum courses. In addition, she carries out tutoring duties within the University Guidance Plan of the University of Zaragoza. Her career combines research, teaching, and knowledge transfer, with a strong commitment to improving well-being and educational quality.
