a) Roman urban domestic architecture in the middle valley of the River Ebro in the 2nd-3rd centuries AD. This research topic formed the core of our doctoral thesis (European mention and extraordinary doctoral prize 2009). Publications in the journals CIRC A and B and internationally. Above all a monograph, 2015, Aquitania Suppl. and CNR-Institut Ausonius (Bordeaux, France) (SPI= 2014: 5/30; 2018: 3/14) (review: JRA (vol. 30, 2017). International conferences (WAC 8; AEA XIV) and book chapters (SPI 2018 Extr. 10, 11, 21 Nac. 9). We have also been on the scientific committee or guest speaker at several conferences on the topic, peer review, supervised projects, and attended as member of thesis examining boards.
b) New remote sensing tools applied to Archaeology. Dr Uribe has led and consolidated a new research line. It was aimed at locating still-buried archaeological remains by using multi-spectral and thermal images obtained with satellites, drones and LiDAR data. Publications in JCH, ISPRS, Drones; peer review de Computer Applications in Archaeology y Ecological Indicators (IF 3.9). Obtained funding from the programme Iberus International Campus of Excellence and Unizar. Participation in international forums (3D Virtual Reconstruction and Visualization of complex architectures; XVII Congreso Union International Sciences Préhistoriques et Protohistoriques; XXXIX Computer Applications in Archaeology, CIPA 2019) and international projects in United Arab Emirates and in Termez, Uzbekistan.
c) Management of R+D+i of 3D for cultural heritage at a company and teaching experience. Development of new digital products for research and dissemination of archaeological and architectonic heritage. A post-doctoral contract in the Torres Quevedo-MINECO programme, at the Tecnitop company, enabled the development of new research lines. Use of new technologies for 3D geometric documentation of heritage, using 3D scanners and drones. Participation in international archaeological documentation projects in France, Italy, Oman published in VAR, ISPRS.
These skills have been transmitted to students through a contract as Charge d'enseignement vacataire at the University of Pau (France), associated lecturer at the University of Zaragoza (Spain), and assistant at the University of Salamanca (Spain). In this regard, we have supervised 6 Master’s dissertations, 4 undergraduate dissertations and a doctoral thesis currently in progress on geomatics applied to archaeology, as well as a teaching innovation project funded by the University of Salamanca on this subject. Accredited by ANECA as a qualified teacher tenure-track (Acreditación Profesor Titular ANECA 2018).
d) Research on Roman hydraulic infrastructures. Our goal has been to research and disseminate the monumental site of the Roman dam at Muel. Direction of several excavation seasons at the dam and its quarry. BAR (SPI 1), Aquitaine, 19th International Congress of Classical Archaeology, Regards croisés d’Occident et d’Orient. Invited by CSIC (Spain), the University of the Sorbonne (France), la Philipps-Universität de Marburgo (Germany), University of Basel (Switzerland) and the Institut Ausonius (France).
