Degree and PhD in Veterinary Science (1994 and 1999, Faculty of Veterinary of Zaragoza, Spain). Two postdoctoral research stays, the first one was in the University of Montpellier (France), under prof. Dr. J.C. Cheftel supervision working with Pulsed Electric Fields Technology. The second one was in the University of Reading (UK) under prof. Dr. Bernard Mackey supervision, working with High Hydrostatic Pressure nacterial inactivation, funded by the European Comission (Marie Curie program). In 2002 she joined the Food Technology Area at the university of Zaragoza as a "Ramón y Cajal" researcher, and now is Professor in this University.
Research interests:
-Microbial inactivation by differents agents used in food processing
-Mode of actions of agents on microorganisms of interest
-Physiologycal and genetic aspects related to survival capacity in microorganisms
-Physiological aspects of the kinetics of bacterial inactivation by different agents
