Jorge González Chapela is associate professor of economics at the Centro Universitario de la Defensa (CUD) de Zaragoza. He is a graduate from the University of Santiago de Compostela (1998) and holds a PhD from the University Pompeu Fabra (2004). He has been at CUD since 2013. Prior to that, he was assistant professor at Alicante (2005-2011) and Girona (2011-2013) universities, and Research and Training Network researcher at the Mannheim (now Munich) Center for the Economics of Aging (2004-2005). He mainly studies labor economics issues with the help of survey data and microeconometric techniques. He has been honored with the CUD Excellence in Teaching Award (2017) and the Hacienda Pública Española/Review of Public Economics Best Reviewer Award (2022).
