Professor of Ancient History since 2009 at the University of Zaragoza (Faculty member since 1987). He has served as Vice Dean of Culture, Social Projection and Institutional Relations of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Zaragoza from 2012 to October 2, 2020, for two terms. Likewise, he has acted as Representative of the Joint Commission Government of Aragon-University of Zaragoza in the Collaboration Agreement to establish the development of the training activities foreseen in the scholarships of training projects in the field of journalism and communication, convened by the Department of the Presidency and Justice of the Government of Aragon (as representative of the University of Zaragoza, by resolution of the Magnificent Rector of February 6, 2014).
He has taught in all sections (15 different subjects) in the Degrees of Geography and History, Teaching, History of Art and in the Degrees of History, History of Art and Education. Likewise, he has taught classes in the extinct Doctorate programs in History; and in the Masters of Sciences of Antiquity and Advanced Studies in Art History.
Member of the Hiberus Research Group since its inception (2003) to date, Member of the IPH (Institute of heritage and humanities)he has participated in 10 ministerial Research Projects, as a full-time or part-time researcher since 1990. From 2016 to date he has been IP of 6 I+D+iResearch Projects.
The most significant guidelines of his research, since 1987, have been the religious and ideological aspects of the ancient world, particularly in Celtic and the periphery of the Greco-Latin ecumene; the rituals of death, otherness and their ethical and social repercussions in Antiquity, from the historical and anthropological point of view; the theoretical and iconographic elements of the aforementioned fields; the textual revision of Greek and Latin authors related to Hispania; and irreligiosity and atheism in 5th century BC Athens.
