Cecilia Latorre-Cosculluela is an Associate Professor in the Area of Didactics and School Organisation at the University of Zaragoza. She obtained her PhD in Education from the University of Zaragoza in July 2020. She has published numerous scientific articles indexed in leading academic databases (JCR and Scopus), focusing on the effectiveness of transformational educational leadership, indicators of quality education, and the effectiveness of innovative and inclusive teaching practices. She has undertaken leadership roles in her research activity, serving as first and/or corresponding author in approximately half of her 75 publications.

With regard to the quality indicators of her scientific output, the researcher has accumulated 442 citations across 49 scientific publications indexed in the Web of Science (H-index = 12). Her publications indexed in Scopus have received 655 citations (H-index = 13), while those recorded in Google Scholar have accumulated 2,058 citations (H-index = 23). She was awarded a six-year research assessment period (“sexenio de investigación”) by the Spanish National Commission for the Evaluation of Research Activity (CNEAI) for the period 2017–2022.

The researcher has played an active role in several national and European R&D projects focused on educational innovation, as well as school management and development in diverse contexts. She has supervised three doctoral theses centred on diversity and inclusion dynamics and the use of technologies for learning. She has also been a member for more than eight years of the “Education and Diversity” Research Group (S49_23R), officially recognised by the Government of Aragón. In addition, she has completed two international postdoctoral research stays at Ibero-American universities.

The Vice-Rectorate for Culture and Social Outreach of the University of Zaragoza, in collaboration with the Government of Aragón, awarded her the 2023 Responsible Consumption Prize for a project related to the implementation of an educational programme on values, responsible consumption, and emotional advertising. She also led another project funded by the Ibercaja Foundation, aimed at analysing the impact of educational initiatives in science and technology on the achievement of sustainable development within educational institutions. Overall, her scientific production extends beyond the boundaries of academic literature, seeking and implementing practical solutions that positively influence educational quality and sustainable development in schools.

Her teaching activity amounts to more than 3,500 hours delivered across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, as well as other complementary training courses. Alongside this extensive teaching experience, she has held several academic management and leadership positions, including: (a) Degree Coordinator for the Primary Education Teaching Programme and the Master’s Degree in Advanced Studies in Language, Communication and Their Disorders at the University of Zaragoza; (b) Coordinator of the Department of Educational Sciences at the Faculty of Human Sciences and Education of the University of Zaragoza; (c) Equality Representative of the Faculty of Human Sciences and Education of the University of Zaragoza; and (d) Coordinator of the “Hypatia” Programme at the Faculty of Human Sciences and Education of the University of Zaragoza.
