Dr. Sabina Scarpellini is at present assistant professor at the Department of Accounting and Finance of the University of Zaragoza and member of the Research Group in Socioeconomics and Sustainability: Environmental Accounting, Corporate Circular Economy and Resources. She is also researcher of the CIRCE Research Institute for Energy Resources and Consumption (Spain).

She is PhD in Accounting and Finance (University of Zaragoza), she holds a MSc degree in Management of Organizations and a second PhD degree in renewable energy and energy efficiency. She is Master in European Union from the Carlos III University of Madrid and she studied at the University of Bologna (Italy) and at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid (Spain).
With a wide previous professional experience in resources management in private R&D Institutes, she has participated and led many R&D projects on the field of circular economy, eco-innovation in business, resources management, environmental accounting, energy poverty and business ethics and other energy related issues. She is author of a large number of international scientific papers and books, and is member of different national and international technology platforms and committees.
Some of her works have been published in different International Journals and Reviews as International Journal of Project Management, Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, Organization & Environment, Sustainable & Renewable Energy Review, Organizational Change Management, Sustainability, Energy Policy, Cleaner Production, etc.
