I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the National University of Distance Education (UNED) and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Zaragoza. My scientific trajectory focuses on clinical neuropsychology and the psychology of aging, with an emphasis on dementia and neurocognitive disorders in older populations. Since 2004, my research has been linked to the ZARADEMP group and the Aragón Health Research Institute (IIS Aragón), where I have participated in over 20 competitive and multidisciplinary research projects, many funded by national agencies such as the Instituto de Salud Carlos III and CIBERSAM.

In terms of scientific output, I have published 65 indexed articles, 66.7% of which are in the top 25% of journals by CiteScore, and 49% are among the top 25% most-cited articles globally. My Scopus h-index is 27, with a total of more than 3000 citations, and my research achieves a Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI) of 3.27, indicating high impact and relevance in neuroscience and mental health. My research topics include dementia risk and progression, the influence of psychosocial factors on cognitive aging, and interventions aimed at improving the quality of life of dementia caregivers.

In the medium term, my research focuses on evaluating psychosocial intervention strategies for caregivers of people with dementia, particularly through the Person-Centered Care (PCC) model. I am also interested in developing cognitive and emotional assessment tools to enhance early diagnosis and treatment in geriatric populations. In the long term, my goal is to lead multicenter projects that enable the effective integration of clinical assessment and cognitive-emotional support interventions in the community, thereby improving healthcare responses and quality of life in this population.

As an Associate Professor at the University of Zaragoza, I have participated in some educational innovation projects and supervised more than 25 undergraduate and master's theses, primarily focused on neuropsychology and psychosocial support in dementia. Additionally, I maintain active collaborations with IIS Aragón and CIBERSAM, reinforcing the impact of applied research and knowledge transfer to clinical settings, particularly in care for the elderly and their caregivers.
