Graduated/BSc in Physiotherapy. Specialist in the area of Invasive Physiotherapy and Myofascial Pain. Doctor in Physiotherapy from the University of Zaragoza with a European Mention. He is currently a Professor and Researcher at the University of Zaragoza and Head of iHealthy Research Group (www.ihealthy.es) at IIS Aragon, University of Zaragoza. In addition to teaching experience in Bachelor's degrees, he teaches in different international post-graduate courses. He is also President of the Association for Research in Motor Disability (AIDIMO) and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal "Invasive Physiotherapy and Musculoskeletal Medicine" (www.invasivephysiotherapy.com).

His scientific achievements include different publications in journals of international impact in the area of Invasive physiotherapy and pain, with special mention to the intellectual property/authorship of the DNHS® technique and concept and co-inventor of the patented 3TOOL tool for the treatment and self-treatment of contractures and muscle overloads. Both the DNHS technique (www.dnhs.es) and the 3TOOL (www.3-tool.com) are present internationally and represent an example of transference from the area of Physiotherapy to the professional field and Society. In addition, the 3TOOL won the Emerging Innovation Award at the Third Millennium Awards.

Among the projects in which Dr. Pablo Herrero has participated, two European projects that were led by him stand out, specifically the one entitled "3TOOLing your Health" within the European INNOvative LABS Project to take advantage of the development of crossed capacities between ICT, Health, BIO and Medicine sectors for new emerging industries in personalized health INNOLABS, Grant Agreement. 691556, Grant Agreement No: 2017 / A09. and the project entitled “Knowledge Alliance for innovative measures in the prevention of work-related musculoskeletal disorders. Prevent4Work ”in the Erasmus + Program - Key Action 2 (KA2) - Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices. Call for proposals EAC / A05 / 2017 - Knowledge alliances "

He is currently leading two autonomic and national projects to transfer technology to assess patients with low back pain remotely through telerehabilitation platforms (TeleEDxPhysio) and to prevent freezing of gait in Parkinson's patients (MyGait). Recently, Dr. Herrero was awarded the innovation prize for the project TeleEDxPhysio by the EVIA Foundation.

Now, he is leading the European Project STROKE-POC (https://www.neuron-eranet.eu/projects/STROKE-POC/) with partners in Canada and Belgium to compare the effectiveness of botulinum toxin and dry needling in post-stroke spasticity. This project has been funded with funded with 755000€ for three years.
