Luis Miguel Romeo (PhD in Engineering, 1997), Professor at the School of Engineering and Architecture (EINA), University of Zaragoza (Mechanical Engineering Department)
Responsible of the Research Group "Energy and CO2" with two main lines of research. The first one on reduction of CO2 emissions with participation in various oxy-fuel combustion projects (main coordinator of the European project O2GEN - FP7, 2012-2016). In this research interest, we have also worked on integration of processes for capture through carbonation cycles (CENIT-CO2 and MENOS CO2 projects, National Research Industrial Projects) and in post-combustion with solid sorbents (main coordinator of the European project ASC2 - RFCS, 2013-2016). The second research interest is on energy storage with the current participation in two relevant projects on energy storage in the form of methane (power-to-gas) (National Research Projects, MERCURIA) and storage of thermochemical energy in concentrating solar power plants with a European project (SOCRATCES - H2020).

Participation in 26 research projects in public calls (responsible for 17. 7 European projects and main project coordinator in 2) and 26 research contracts with industry (responsible for 18).
67 published JCR papers (46 in Q1) with an h-index of 27 (WoS), 28 (Scopus). 2120 (WoS), 2361 (Scopus) total citations (updated to January 2019). The average number of citations/year during the last 5 years is 276/year (WoS), 298/year (Scopus). 6 chapters of books in international publishers. More than 70 contributions to Congresses and 28 non-JCR publications.
Three periods of evaluation of consecutive positive research activity (CNEAI), last in 2014.
11 PhD supervision(7 in the last 10 years).

Currently teaching "Thermal Engineering" of the Engineering Degrees and "Advanced thermoelectric generation. Plants of zero emissions. Emissions trading" in the University Master's Degree in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency.

Director of 52 Final Degree Projects in Industrial Engineering. Director of 15 Final Master Projects and 8 End of Degree Projects in the degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Technologies.
