Lucía C. Pérez Moreno is Full Professor of History and Theory of Architecture at the University of Zaragoza. In 2022, she was recognised by the Spanish Government as one of the most innovative researchers and was included in the National Group of Women & Science, becoming the first and only architect listed. Since 2023, she has co-led the Research Group built4life, coordinating the Socio-Inhabitare Lab in Architectural History and Feminist Theory.

Her research explores the intersections of modern architectural theory, the expansion of architectural media, and gender studies, particularly in Spain in relation to the rest of Europe. Her first book, "Fullaondo y la revista Nueva Forma" (Museo Oteiza, 2015), examines the reception of debates on late modernity from Italy, France and Finland in Spanish professional journals during the late Franco Regime (1966-1975). It was awarded at the 2016 BEAU (Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism) and was a finalist for the CICA (International Committee of Architecture Critics) Bruno Zevi Book Award.

Since 2016, she has managed multiple research and transfer-to-society grants focused on Gender, Media, and Architecture, securing over €700,000 in funding. Notable projects include "Women in Spanish (post)modern architectural culture, 1965-2000" (2019-21); #ArquitectasenelMapa (2022-23); "Women Architects in Film, 1945-2000" (2023-27); the Encounters on Gender and Architecture (2017-22); and several grants providing full-time funding for predoctoral students.

Pérez-Moreno received her PhD in Advanced Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Madrid in 2013. She is a licensed Architect and Urban Planner from the University of Navarra (Pamplona, 2003, National Studies Award) and holds secondary studies in Philosophy (KU Leuven, 2024), a Master's Degree from the GSAPP of Columbia University (New York, 2008), and postgraduate studies from Aalto University (Helsinki, 2004). She was a Visiting Scholar at the Politecnico di Milano in 2010 and at GSAPP in 2012, a Visiting Teacher at the AA in London in 2014, and a Visiting Professor at the University of Colorado-Denver (José Castillejo Junior Fellow) in 2016 and at KU Leuven in Belgium (EU Next Generation Senior Fellow) in 2022-24.

She is an active member of the EAHN, for which she served as associate editor of its scientific journal (2017-20). She has also edited four Special Collections: "Women and Architecture Practice in Spain and Portugal, 1960s-1980s" (Arts 9, 2020, with Patricia Santos-Pedrosa, Uni. Beira Interior), "Architectural Historiography and Fourth Wave Feminism" (Architectural Histories 8, 2020, with Torsten Lange, ETH), "Women, Feminist Practices and Alternative Professionals in Architecture" (Zarch 18, 2022, with Ann E. Komara, CU-Denver) and "Mujeres y cultura arquitectónica en España en el último tercio del siglo XX" (Arenal 30.2, 2023).

In 2025, she edited the volume "Architecture & Feminist Critical Theory. Selected Writing by Hilde Heynen" (Leuven University Press), and published the collective book "Mujeres y Arquitectura en una España en Transición, 1962-1999" (ABADA), which has received three recognitions, including finalist in the La Casa de la Arquitectura Awards, and shortlisted in the FAD, and the CSCAE Awards in 2026. Currently, she is a member of the Scientific Committee drafting the Spanish National Plan of Contemporary Architecture at the Spanish Ministry of Culture.
