My research career, which began during my doctoral studies (2012–2016) and has steadily consolidated since then, has evolved into a solid and multidisciplinary line of work that integrates Developmental Psychology and Health Psychology, particularly during childhood and adolescence. My current research combines the study of social relationships, psychosocial adjustment, and school coexistence with the analysis of psychological, motivational, and environmental factors involved in physical activity, well-being, and healthy development in children and adolescents. This integrative approach has resulted in 17 scientific articles published in JCR- and Scopus-indexed journals, along with several book chapters, knowledge-transfer contributions, and presentations at national and international conferences.

I have participated continuously in competitive regional, national, and European research projects, including consolidated groups such as Psychology: Cognitive and Social Processes, and I have served as principal investigator in projects focused on educational leadership and improving school functioning. I have also carried out international research stays at the Behavioral Science Institute of Radboud University (The Netherlands) and at the University of Valparaíso (Chile), which have strengthened my methodological training and comparative perspective. Additionally, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship within the European project CAPAS-Cité, devoted to the psychological determinants of physical activity in children and adolescents.

My scientific production is structured around two closely related axes:

Psychosocial adjustment and developmental processes during childhood and adolescence in school contexts.

Health-related behavior and physical activity from a psychological perspective, particularly during childhood and adolescence in educational settings.

In the medium and long term, my scientific goals focus on consolidating an applied line of research with strong potential for transfer to the educational system, enabling the design and validation of evidence-based interventions and providing schools with practical tools. Likewise, I aim to develop or participate in interdisciplinary projects that integrate health, education, and the behavioral sciences. Finally, I seek to strengthen international networks that facilitate cross-cultural studies and stable collaborations, thereby increasing the impact and applicability of research findings.
