My research work, always within the development of digital systems, is divided into three great topics such as the transfer of knowledge to companies with the design of ASICs, the implementation of digital controls applied to power electronic systems mainly induction and for about twenty years to the design of specific supercomputers for physics and biocomputing applications.
I have designed 10 ASICs for BSH-BALAY, 8 for SIEMENS-ELASA and 2 for TGI. These last two were the first two SPARC microprocessors designed in Europe and approved by SPARC International.

I have been technically responsible of the programation on the JANUS and JANUS-II fPGA-based supercomputers  dedicated to solving statistical physics problems. I want to emphasize that it is an international project multidisciplinary formed by 6 universities in Spain and Italy. The first machine has been partially funded by the 2007 prize of the “Royal Society and Académie des sciences Microsoft Award” and has been a milestone in statistical physics. The theoretical part is led by Giorgio Parisi Nobel Prize in Physics 2021.

General quality indicators of scientific research:
66 international journals, 56 with JCR impact index. Of which 42 are in the first quartile of their category.
I have an h-index = 26 and a total of 2440 citations without self-citations.
4 book chapters.
42 papers published in proceedings of international conferences of reference in the discipline of electronics (mostly IEEE field).
Participation in 65 research projects and contracts, 26 as principal investigator.
10 world patents (granted by the European Patent Office). All patents are held by the Bosch Siemens Hausgeräte (BSH) company.
Recognized four sections of research corresponding to the six-year terms 1991-1997, 1998-2004, 2005-2010, 2011-2016 and a transfer six-year period 1992-1999

I have supervised five Phd theses.

Reviewer of the following journals:
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems
EIT Science, Measurement & Technology
IOP Measurement Science and Technology
