As a review of the scientific trajectory, during the first years of research work I have developed new numerical approximation methods with special emphasis on mesh-free methods, applying these techniques under a Lagrangian philosophy for the simulation of incompressible media. I have worked on the development of new high-order mesh-free methods based on the Maximum Entropy principle. As well as a novel technique for the construction of B-Spline surfaces using mesh-free approximation schemes. I have also participated very actively in the development of a Separation of Variables Representation technique for its application in multiscale problems, solving Partial Differential Equation problems in high dimensional spaces or with a high number of degrees of freedom. That germ consolidated the technique of Proper Generalized Decomposition (PGD), where I have participated very actively in its development and has allowed its application to many fields such as real-time computational simulation; surgical simulators; and its application to Augmented Reality among other topics. In recent years, research has been focused on the development of techniques based on Artificial Intelligence, especially data-driven computational mechanics.
In addition to the publications listed in the table above, I am (co-)author of 4 books and 6 book chapters. I have participated in about 100 international congresses.
