Dr. Victor Sebastian Cabeza, es Profesor Catedrático de Universidad desde 2022 en el Departamento de Ingeniería Química y Tecnologías del Medio Ambiente de UNIZAR, científico de referencia en el Laboratorio de Microscopías avanzadas (LMA-ELECMI-UNIZAR) e investigador en el Instituto de Nanociencia y Materiales de Aragón (INMA), Centro de Investigación Biomédica en Red de Bioingeniería, Biomateriales y Nanomedicina (Ciber BBN) y del Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria de Aragón (IISA). Obtuvo su doctorado en Ingeniería Química en UNIZAR (2008), investigando en las áreas científicas relacionadas con tecnologías de membrana y micro-reactores. Su trabajo pre-doctoral fue reconocido con el premio extraordinario de Doctorado en el área de Ingeniería. Ha realizado numerosas estancias de investigación en centros de gran prestigio internacional: University of Aveiro (Portugal), The European Membrane Institute (Francia), the Mainz Institute of Microtechnology (Alemania), SINTEF (Noruega), y Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT-USA).
El Dr. Sebastián es coordinador del Grado en Ingeniería Química de UNIZAR desde el curso 19-20, obteniendo el prestigioso sello de calidad internacional en ingeniería EUR-ACE (2020) y ha participando en más de 10 proyectos de innovación docente. Finalmente, el Dr. Sebastián ha supervisado 7 Tesis doctorales desde 1/2017 a 12/2022 (actualmente supervisa 5 Tesis) y más de 30 trabajos de fin de estudios (Grado y Máster).
Su actividad investigadora se completa con la capacidad de participar en proyectos de excelencia nacional (23) y Europea (9), entre ellos 2 ERC y 2 proyectos Marie Sklodowska Curie y 2 proyectos Poctefa. También tiene actividad en la transferencia tecnológica a la empresa con 10 proyectos de investigación (5 nacionales y 5 internacionales). En el periodo 2017-2024 ha liderado/colaborado en 29 proyectos de investigación competitivos. El Dr. Sebastián dispone del reconocimiento de 3 sexenios de investigación CNEAI (el último reconocido es del periodo 2015-2020). Su registro de publicaciones consta de 270 artículos en revistas del JCR, 2 patentes, 7 capítulos de libro, h index= 51 con más de 9000 citas -SCOPUS, además ha presentado más de 150 comunicaciones a congresos nacionales e internacionales. Su trabajo de investigación ha sido destacado en más de 19 portadas de revistas de alto índice de impacto. En los últimos 5 años ha publicado más de 133 artículos en revistas JCR-Q1. El número de citas recibidas según Scopus fue de: 685 (2019), 983 (2020), 1247 (2021), 1501 (2022) y 1491 (2023).
