In the framework of an academic career of a professor of Commercial and Business Law, I have sought to broaden the horizons of the discipline, addressing issues such as payment services, information society services, commercial distribution or consumer protection, showing a clear internationalization vocation. I have carried out long-term research stays at the ZERP of the Univ. Bremen (1993-1994), and the IWR (1998-1999), the CEP (1999-2000) and the ITM, Zivilrechtliche Abt. (2011), all of them from the University Münster, awarded with pre- and postdoctoral grants. I have presented papers at national and international conferences, taught courses and seminars in both Spanish and foreign institutions and universities (such as Germany, Slovenia, France, Italy, Poland, South Africa). I have more than 90 publications, several of them written in German or English, and many of them the result of the activity carried out in research projects. Apart from my participation in regional and national projects, I have been the head researcher of my University in 5 European projects (FP6, FP7, H2020). Currently, and until 2026, I am co-head investigator of the MINCINN project on "Blockchain and Corporate Law (2). Bigdata, Fintech and the protection of the user of financial services" (PID2022-137502NB-I00). Furthermore, for more than 20 years, I am the researcher responsible for the Reference Research Group of the Government of Aragon “Legal Management of Innovative Business, Instruments and Organizations (LegMiBIO)” (S12_23R), currently recognized until 2025. A notable part of the activity of the Research Group has been applied. This was born linked to the Advanced Laboratory of the University of Zaragoza on Legal and Business Applications in the Information Society of the Walqa Technology Park (Huesca), where 32 R&D and knowledge transfer projects have been developed since 2004 in issues linked to information society, as well as a patent currently in operation. More recently, my specialization in the legal management of intellectual property rights in the public procurement of innovation has allowed me to develop notable collaboration work with contracting authorities and companies, with 15 knowledge transfer projects since 2019. In addition, I am a permanent contributor to the Spanish Company Law Review, the Spanish Securities Market Law Review and the Spanish review La Ley Mercantil since their no. 1, of the Spanish Competition and Distribution Law Review, from its no. 3, as well as a member of the editorial board of the Financial Market Law Review since its no. 0. Likewise, I have been an evaluator for the ESF since 2006, for the DAAD since 2018, an independent external evaluator (Key Action KA1) since 2020 of the Erasmus+ Program of the SEPIE of the Ministry of Universities, an evaluator for the AEI since 2020, an evaluator of the Slovak Research and Development Agency (SRDA-APVV) since January 2023; I have been an evaluator for the “G&M1” panel: Sciences of Law and Criminology”, Review College, Research Foundation – Flanders (FWO) in 2022, and an evaluator of the European Innovation Council (EIC) and the SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) from 2023 to 2024.
