Mohamed H. Doweidar is a Full Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Zaragoza, Spain. Since 1994, he has taught at various engineering schools and made significant contributions in the fields of computational cell biology, computational biomechanics, and biomedical engineering.

Prof. Dr. Doweidar earned his Ph.D. in Computational Fluid Mechanics (2005) and the Diploma of Advanced Studies in Computational Fluid Mechanics (2004) from the University of Zaragoza, Spain. He previously completed a Master’s degree in Mathematical Engineering (2001) at Ain Shams University, Egypt; a Bachelor's degree in Statistics and Informatics (1997) at Mansoura University, Egypt; and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering (1993) at the Higher Technological Institute of Benha, Egypt.

He is a member of the Applied Mechanics and Bioengineering Group (AMB), the Biomedical Research Networking Center on Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine (CIBER-BBN), the Aragon Institute of Engineering Research (I3A), and the European Society of Biomechanics (ESB).

Prof. Dr. Doweidar has participated in numerous national and international research projects and is the author and co-author of many scientific articles in leading journals, as well as books and book chapters published by both national and international publishers. He has presented at various national and international conferences and serves on the editorial and review boards of several scientific journals. Additionally, he is a research project evaluator for the National Agency for Evaluation and Foresight (ANEP). Throughout his career, he has supervised several doctoral theses, most of which have received the university's special award.

His research interests include computational biomechanics, cell behavior simulation, hyperelastic materials, large deformations, the Finite Element Method, the Natural Element Method, Computational Fluid Mechanics, error estimation, and adaptivity. (updated 08/2024)
