Marta Monzón Chavarrías is Associate Professor of Architectural Constructions at the University of Zaragoza since 2023. She began her academic and research career at the University of Zaragoza occupying different research staff positions from 2010 to 2016. Subsequently, she held a position of adjunt professor (2016-2018) and assistant professor doctor (2018-2023).

Regarding her education, she has the title of Architect (Universidad San Jorge, 2021), Technical Architect (EUPLA-UNIZAR, 2009) and Building Engineer (UAX, 2011). She also has a Master's Degree in Maintenance, Rehabilitation and Recovery of Buildings (UAX, 2011) and a postgraduate degree in Environmental Impact Assessment in Projects (University of La Rioja, 2011). In 2016 he obtained a PhD degree from the University of Zaragoza in the PhD program in Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency at CIRCE. She has done postdoctoral research stays at the University of Seville and at the School of Engineering of Porto, Portugal.

She participates as thesis director in the PhD program "New Territories in Architecture" at the University of Zaragoza, being a member of the Academic Commission and is a research in the Built4lifre Lab Research Group of the Government of Aragon. She is specialized in sustainability, acoustics and energy efficiency, focusing on building renovation. She has participated in 19 research projects and contracts, being heater of 6 of them, and has almost 50 publications in indexed journals, book chapters and conference proceedings.
