Full Professor of Procedural Law at the University of Zaragoza since 2018.

Dean of the Law School of the University of Zaragoza since 2014 to 2022. President of the Spanish Association of Deans of Law School from 2016 to 2020.

My research has centered on the judicial protection of credit. Started with my thesis, on "El embargo de empresa" (foreclosure of the enterprise) and continued with other books on "El proceso monitorio" (order payment process) and "El proceso concursal" (Bankruptcy process). My participation in collective works on insolvency proceedings are framed in this line. More recently I have returned to write a new book on the order payment process.

I have developed another line of research on the cassation appeal, with the publication of two books "El interés casacional" (The interest in cassation) and "Los recursos extraordinarios por infracción procesal y casación" (Extraordinary remedies for cassation and procedural infringement).

After a research stay at the Law School of the University of Houston, I began a line of research on collective redress, with the publication of a book on "El sistema de las class actions en los Estados Unidos de América" (The American system of class actions). Within this line of research, a large number of book chapters in various collective works and a new research stay at New York University are included.
