  Ignacio Martínez Ruiz is Professor (PhD in Telecommunications Engineering) at University of Zaragoza (UZ) with 3 six-year research periods, 4 five-year teaching periods and 7 three-year university periods and has received 12 national and 3 regional awards, including: Best Doctoral Thesis (2007), Best Junior Company (2014), Best UZ Patent (2017), Best Digital Health APP (2018) Multidisciplinar Innovation R&D+i SAMCA (2021). His key topics are focused on smart data: Internet of Things (IoT), Industry 4.0, Digital Health, etc.
 With more than 23 years of experience, including Enterprise Affairs Manager within School of Engineering and Architecture (EINA.UZ) and Manager of Innovation in Technologies and eHealth within Aragón Bioregion (BioMed), he is Finance Director of UZ, UZ Chair Director for Inycom and Integra Technology enterprises, member of the HOWLab R&D Group (recognized by the Government of Aragon) of the Aragon Engineering Research Institute (I3A.UZ), R&D+i advisor in technological innovation for companies, AENOR expert evaluator for R&D projects, and member of the main Committees of eHealth Experts (AEN/CTN139, COIT, etc.)
 In researching, in addition to multiple management positions and more than 50 conferences and seminars, as an expert in technologies and eHealth he has led more than 66 R&D+i projects (15 as Main Research) with 45 impact scientific publications with +800 citations and +20000 readings, including 20 international JCR indexed journals (with 14 Q1, 3 Q2 and 5 excellence articles published in the first decile of the journal area), 112 contributions to national (62) and international (50) conferences, including 4 best papers and 3 chairman; 9 international papers on Teaching Innovation, 3 doctoral theses and 1 working patent.
