Professor of Theory and History of Architecture, School of Engineering and Architecture (EINA), Zaragoza University. Academic Coordinator of the New Territories in Architecture Doctoral Programme (2014-2023). Responsible for the Architectural History and Theory Department (2010-). Previously Director of the Theory and Architectural and Urban Projects Department, Polytechnic School, CEU-San Pablo University, Madrid (2007-09).

Numerous book and journal publications; recent books include Ciudad de Bloques. reflexiones retrospectivas y prospectivas sobre los polígonos de vivienda ‘modernos’, with J. Monclús: (Abada, 2021). Urban Visions. From Planning Culture to Landscape Urbanism (Díez & Monclús, eds.) Springer, 2018 (Spanish ed.: Abada, 2017).
