The research career is structured around six primary lines of investigation: web design, online information search behavior, multichannel behavior, the impact of immersive technologies on user experience, marketing education, and city marketing. The results of his research have been published in over 60 articles in high-impact national and international journals—26 of which are indexed in JCR (20 in the first quartile) and 35 in Scopus—as well as 15 book chapters, among other publications. He has participated as a speaker in more than 100 national and international conferences. Since October 2022, he has served as the Transfer Officer for the Spanish Association of Academic and Professional Marketing (AEMARK).
His doctoral dissertation was developed within the "Economics and Management of Organizations" PhD program (awarded with a Mention of Excellence), receiving the highest distinction, sobresaliente cum laude, along with the "European Doctorate" mention. The thesis was recognized with four national awards (e.g., from AEMARK and the Spanish Association of Shopping Centers) and one international award (Best Thesis Award, International Marketing Trends). He was also granted the Extraordinary Doctorate Award by the University of Zaragoza (Social and Legal Sciences macro-area). His research has received several accolades, including Best Paper in the Spanish Journal of Marketing-ESIC (2021), Best Marketing Paper by AEMARK (2020), and the Best Paper Award at the "8th International XR-Metaverse Conference" (2023).
He has co-supervised a doctoral thesis within the “Economics and Management of Organizations” program, which resulted in the publication of five articles in JCR Q1 journals and received national (AEMARK) and international (IFITT - International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism) awards.
He has participated in 23 competitive research projects funded by the European Union, the Spanish Ministry, the Government of Aragon, and the University of Zaragoza, serving as Principal Investigator (PI) in three of them.
His editorial contributions include serving as a reviewer for 30 high-impact national and international journals (with over 130 reviews indexed in Web of Science) and more than 20 research conferences. He has also delivered research seminars at various national and international institutions, such as Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium) and the University of Alicante.
Furthermore, he has collaborated in the organization of R&D&i activities, including the Workshop for Young Researchers in Economics and Business, the International Conference on Corporate Communications, and AIRSI (serving as co-chair for the 2022 and 2023 editions). He has been a member of more than 20 Teaching Innovation Projects at the University of Zaragoza, coordinating six of them.
In terms of academic management, he has held various positions at the University of Zaragoza, including member of the Quality Assurance Committee for official Master’s degrees and coordinator of the departmental section at the Huesca campus. From 2023 to 2025, he served as Vice-Dean of Academic Policy, Research, and Quality at the Faculty of Business and Public Management in Huesca, and has held the position of Dean of the faculty since May 2025.
